About Scentopia
Scentopia is the first-of-a-kind perfume making workshop in Singapore that allows you to make your signature scent depending on your personality. This perfumery is also enabled with AR(augmented Reality) with 300+ free to use art work in metaverse.
It is a place where fragrance enthusiasts and novices alike can explore the captivating world of scents, create their own signature perfumes, and learn about the history and science behind fragrances.
At Scentopia, participants are guided through a hands-on journey of perfume creation, from understanding the different fragrance families to blending and experimenting with a wide range of aromatic essences. The workshop provides a creative and interactive environment, allowing individuals to express their personal preferences and create a scent that reflects their unique style and personality.
How To Get To Scentopia
Here are the ways on how to get to Scentopia:
By Sentosa Express: Take the Sentosa Express to Beach Station. Scentopia is a short walk from the station.
Here are the directions on how to get to Scentopia from Beach Station:
- Exit the Sentosa Express station and turn left.
- Walk along Siloso Beach Walk for about 5 minutes.
- Scentopia will be on your right-hand side.
By bus: Take bus 123, 858, or 859 to Siloso Beach Walk. Scentopia is a short walk from the bus stop
By car: There is a paid parking lot near Scentopia
Timings: The opening hours of Scentopia are from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, daily.
Perfume-Making Workshop Steps
Introduction about the workshop
Upon entering Scentopia, I was greeted by a symphony of captivating aromas that instantly transported me to a world of scents. The staff at Scentopia were incredibly warm, friendly, and eager to assist.
I was first introduced to the various perfumes around and asked about the size of the perfume bottle I wish to choose to concoct my signature perfume.
There are two different sizes available.
- 50 ml
- 100 ml
I chose 100ml because there was not much of a price difference between the two and the quantity is double.
The prices of perfume making activities are as follows:
- Perfume Making 100ml (Adult): SGD 125
- Perfume Making 100ml (Child up to 12 y.o.): SGD 95
- Perfume Making 50ml (Adult): SGD 95
- Perfume Making 50ml (Child up to 12 y.o.): SGD 75
Personality Questionnaire
To help me find the perfect fragrance that captures my personality, they had prepared a fun and interactive personality questionnaire of 2 pages. I had to answer a series of questions, and the results could help me find my very own signature fragrance depending on my dominant trait.
When it comes to fragrances, different scents can resonate with different personality types. Here are some general categories of scents and the personality traits they often align with:
- Floral Scents: Floral fragrances evoke a sense of romance, femininity, and elegance. They are often associated with individuals who have a gentle and nurturing nature. People who are drawn to floral scents are usually romantic, graceful, and appreciate the beauty of nature.
- Citrus Scents: Citrus fragrances are refreshing, uplifting, and energizing. They are often favored by individuals who are outgoing, vibrant, and have a zest for life. Citrus lovers are typically optimistic, cheerful, and enjoy being surrounded by positivity.
- Oriental Scents: Oriental fragrances are rich, exotic, and sensual. They tend to attract individuals who are confident, alluring, and have a magnetic presence. People who are drawn to oriental scents often embrace their sensuality and have a taste for luxury and intrigue.
- Woody Scents: Woody fragrances convey warmth, stability, and a connection to nature. They appeal to individuals who are grounded, down-to-earth, and appreciate the beauty of natural elements. Woody scent enthusiasts often have a strong sense of self and value authenticity.

2. Choosing your Signature Scent
After your dominant trait is identified, you can go ahead choosing the scents corresponding to the quiz results. There are separate sections for both men and women. You can go to either of the sections to test out various fragrances.
According to the staff, you need a minimum of 6 notes and go upto 10 to get your signature scent.
Once you have a good understanding of the different scents, you will begin to create your own perfume. You will start by choosing your base notes, which are the foundation of your fragrance. You will then add middle notes, which provide the heart of your perfume, and top notes, which add a touch of freshness.
3. Blend your scents & Test It
This is the fun part! Once you have chosen your scents, you will be able to start blending them together. The perfumer will give you some tips on how to blend the scents together to create a balanced and harmonious perfume. Once you have blended your scents, you will need to test them to see how they smell. The perfumer will have a variety of different testers that you can use.
If you do not like the final output, you can go ahead an choose again.
4. Bottling Your Perfume
Once we were satisfied with our fragrance, we moved on to the final touch—personalized packaging. Scentopia offered an assortment of beautifully designed bottles, labels, and packaging materials. It was an opportunity to express our individuality, ensuring that our unique scent would be encased in a vessel that mirrored our style and personality.
At the end of the workshop, we got to bottle our own perfume. I was so excited to see the final product! My perfume was a beautiful blend of citrus and floral scents.

Scentopia has a small gift shop where you can buy souvenirs, such as perfume oils, candles, and diffusers.
